Well, animals that are from Africa.

Bryan and I decided to have one last hoorah before school is back in session and headed to the Cincinnati Zoo.

We kept seeing the commercials about Giraffe Ridge--where you can feed a giraffe by hand--and just had to go. It did not disappoint. Your life is not complete until you have been licked by a giraffe. Trust me on this one.

Although the giraffes were the highlight of the trip, the manatees came in a close second. I'm not sure what makes these animals so fascinating, but we were mesmerized. They are just so darn cute. (and quite graceful as well)

We also saw Asian elephants. I must say, I think I prefer African elephants to Asian elephants. Here you can see the difference:

Now you tell me, isn't the African elephant prettier? And really, I am quite sure that is what really matters when it comes to elephants.

We had a fantastic morning, but by lunchtime we were ready to head home. Afterall, we did have a strange craving for some Fruit Loops that we needed to satisfy...
