The good news is that he's friendly as ever and didn't mind taking a little break for a photo op.
Santa wasn't the only attraction at the Newport Aquarium. We also saw beautiful fish
and some scary sharks

That's cool that you were able to get your photo with Santa. But I guess you didn't get to tell him what you wanted for Christmas.
I didn't get to tell him (because I didn't have the super cool microphone thingy), but he was able to talk to us. He was very interested in letting us know how we need to take care of the environment and the oceanlife.
