1 Year and Counting

Wow! Unbelievable. I have officially been married for 1 year and 4 days. Just for old times sake lets take a little stroll down memory lane...

Here we are the very first time we met in person. It was March 2006. This picture was taken right before I had to take Bry back to the airport. Can you tell we were a little sad about it?

Over the following months we made several trips back and forth and spent many, many hours on the phone or the computer. Thanksgiving rolled around and I headed to Fort Thomas to spend it with Bryan since he was stuck at home on call. Little did I know I would come back a little different than I left.

So we started making wedding plans

and were married on June 16, 2007

We enjoyed a week in Hawaii for our honeymoon

and have been loving life in Cincinnati since then.

Now to the sappy part. I have been incredibly blessed with an amazing, loving husband that takes such good care of me. I fell in love with Bryan for his kind heart, caring personality, and intelligent nature--oh yeah, and he's quite a looker :) I didn't know that I would fall in love with him as a husband more and more everyday. Let me just brag for a minute here ladies...not only does Bryan clean the kitchen and bathroom, but he does most of the laundry and can make a mean plate of sausage pasta. Of course I love these things about him and appreciate all the things he does to make my life easier, but I truly love him for the way he supports me in everything I do and makes me feel special everyday. I am truly blessed to be Mrs. Wyatt.

Ok, enough sappiness. I'll just leave you with one last picture of us at our favorite restaurant on our anniversary (well, the day after).

A New 'Do

Bry helped me get over the fear of a new hairdresser back in February when he sent me for a day at the spa for the day. I kept meaning to get back there again for a trim, but never found the time. I finally went this past weekend and I am glad I did. Now I'm all ready for summer...

Cicadas Swarming

Ok, so I knew that Ohio was kinda a weird place before I moved here. I knew about the cold. I even knew about the snow. The thing I didn't know about...cicadas.

I walked out my apartment door the other day to see this

staring back at me. Sorry about the googled picture. I tried to take one myself, but it just kept coming up blurry. Apparently I don't have the good bug taking skills like my sister. And really I should be a little more specific. I didn't just see one cicada. I saw swarms of them.

And not only did I see them, but I heard them. Really, this place is bizarre.

Being the Gragg girl that I am, I couldn't just let it go. Where did these bugs come from all of a sudden? How long would they be here? What are they? I decided to consult my trusty friend--Google. Turns out I must have picked the best year ever to move to Ohio because these cicadas only come out every 17 years!! Lucky me. They really are interesting little creatures. Feel free to read up on them. If you've made it this far I know you must be super bored or actually a little bit interested in this strange bug. If nothing else, these unique bugs have given us Cincinnatians something to talk about besides the high gas prices.
