Early Thursday morning, Bryan headed off to Utah for work for about 6 days. Dad was going to be gone fishing--and the girls decided to come on up to Ohio! Woo hoo--girls weekend :)
Mom, Amber, Amiya and Emmy arrived on Thursday afternoon and we just chilled for the rest of the evening. Amiya is still just as sweet as can be, but sure looks grown up! She is taller, smarter, and quite funny these days. Emmy has grown up a lot in the few months since I saw her last. She warmed up to me pretty quickly, although she would still prefer Amber, Mimi, or Amiya over me any day (Can you blame her?)
Friday, they met up with my class at the Newport Aquariumum. Amiya came along with my kiddos and fit right in.

I took a few more pictures, but they have my students in them, so I don't want to post them here.
Saturday we headed out to the children's museum. I had never been before, and hoped it would be a good place for both girls. According to Amber it is the best children's museum she has been to. It was nice that there was stuff for both ages--and plenty of seats for the adults to enjoy.

Emmy instantly went to the Buddy dog in the Vet clinic and didn't want to leave him behind. She LOVES animals!

This girl knows when she is done! A few hours into the trip, she came back to the stroller, got her bear and her milk and started trying to crawl back in. She was ready for a break!

On Sunday we headed to church and then to Burbanks to eat. Amiya and Emmy enjoyed looking at the pictures of all the piggies, although Amiya admitted that it was a little strange to look at the pictures and then eat a pulled pork sandwich. After eating, we just couldn't pass up the photo op.
What a ham!! Haha. Get it? Ham....(wow, that was pretty bad!)

What a ham!! Haha. Get it? Ham....(wow, that was pretty bad!)Sunday afternoon I had to take them back to the airport and was very sad to see them go. But before they headed out, the girls decided they needed to go for a quick spin while Uncle Bryan was away. Hope he doesn't see this...

Thanks girls for a great weekend! It could only have been better if it were a little longer. Thanks for keeping me company.

Feel free to check out Amber's take on things--or just to see more cute pictures!

Oh, I definitely don't mind the girls taking the car for a spin. Glad to see they enjoyed it. Sure wish I'd have been there to see them in person!
Thanks again for the great weekend! Those kids are mighty cute...and lots of people think they look just like their Aunt Christy! Thanks for all the fun memories.
Looks like a good time. Although I think Bryan let the girls off a little easy.
