And boy, was it an adventure. We went on a Saturday knowing that Bryan needed to mow THAT DAY. You see, when we moved in, all we heard was about how much people cared about their lawns and the lovely competitions they have for it and such. Our grass had gotten way too long and we were on the verge of being "that family" that moves in and ruins the neigborhood. So off we go to Sears. Bryan says he just wants a push mower...nothing fancy. Until he saw what all was there! We ended up leaving with a mower with all the bells and whistles. Even the fancy key turn start. Bryan filled it up with gas, but the silly thing wouldn't start. Turns out it needed to charge for 24 hours. Sunday it rained all day. Monday was nice, so he tried again, still no go. We decided that the outlet must be bad, so we changed plugs and tried again. Still no luck. We finally gave up on the fancy schmancy key start and took it back. We still ended up with a nice mower--and the best part...it started up on the very first try. We are no longer the embarrassment of the neighborhood...woo hoo!!

(ok, admittedly, I think the lawnmower was a little more up Bryan's alley than mine. Watch for a post soon about the updates INSIDE that are more exciting for me!)

Well, I guess you're not going to be "that family" that moves in and ruins the neighborhood... Nope, you're "that family" that takes photos of mowing the lawn. :)
Congrats on your first mower. If I were you I'd make sure Bryan knows that it is HIS mower.
